Danadjieva Hansen Architects is serving as consulting architect to many housing and redevelopment agencies in Northern California including those in Sacramento, Daly City, Pacifica, Hollister, San Francisco, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Walnut Grove, Rio Vista, Isleton and Concord.
DHA is responsible for establishing architectural design criteria, street-scape and landscape improvements, signage programs, design facade rehabilitation, and restoration plans.
Working with political leaders, local business people, artists, contractors, and manufacturers, DHA's goal is to find ways to keep the majority of project funding in the local community. Our designs respect history, merge architecture with nature, and build community spirit.
The approach involves developing designs with the client and community 'on the street'. In the immediate environment of the site itself, we sketch ideas, advise on costs, and offer creative and budget respecting design solutions.
This process often involves working at the same time with tenants, owners, building, and planning departments, redevelopment agencies and elected officials. DHA's ability to engender consensus for good de-sign among the diverse groups involved brings success in the urban revitalization projects.
